Paul Farman signs new contract with Swansea City
Swansea City is pleased to confirm goalkeeper Paul Farman has signed a new contract through to the end of June 2027.
The 36-year-old joined the Swans last summer having previously been at Barrow. His existing deal had been due to expire at the end of June 2026, but he will now remain in SA1.
The vastly-experienced keeper, who has made more than 500 league appearances at all levels of the game, has been a popular member of the squad since his arrival, with his diligent work winning the praise of fellow keepers Lawrence Vigouroux and Andy Fisher.
The North Shields-born keeper was on the academy books at Newcastle United as a youngster, and went on to have spells with Blyth Spartans, Washington, Gateshead, Lincoln City, Boston United, Stevenage, Carlisle United and Barrow.
He was a National League winner with Lincoln in 2017 and helped them reach the EFL Trophy final the following season.
And Farman is delighted that he will remain with Swansea for the 2026-27 campaign.
“I have loved my time at Swansea, and I am over the moon that I will be staying with the club next season,” he said.
“To have the opportunity to work with coaches and players at such a high level has been one I have relished, and I am already excited about the chance to get back down to work when pre-season starts.
“The facilities and expertise of the staff at Fairwood are right up there with the very best I have experienced in my career, and it has been a pleasure to be able to test myself and continue to learn in such an environment.
“There is a lot of positivity around the club at the moment, and hopefully we can keep that going as a group during the 2026-27 season.”
