Point could prove crucial, says Martin

Martin Olsson feels Swansea City’s point at West Brom could prove crucial in the Premier League relegation race.

The Swans came from behind at The Hawthorns to claim a share of the spoils against the top flight’s bottom club.

Tammy Abraham’s 75th-minute header moved the Swans on to 32 points from as many games and ensured they remain outside the drop zone.

And Olsson was upbeat about the Baggies draw despite the Swans failing to hit top gear in the Midlands.

“The frustrating part was that it was nowhere near our best performance,” reflected the Swedish left-back.

“We didn’t pay that well, but it was important that we got something from the game so a point is pleasing.

“It could be a crucial point because we all see just how tight it is between the clubs fighting the drop.

“When it comes to the end of the season and we look back at the campaign, this draw could be one of the key results.”
