Swans Women vs Briton Ferry Llansawel

Swansea City Women travel to the The Renewable Centre Stadium this evening to face Briton Ferry Llansawel Women in their final fixture of phase one of the Genero Adran Premier (7.30pm).

This fixture was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 1, but was postponed following a pitch inspection due to a waterlogged surface.

The Swans will be aiming to finish the first phase of the league campaign on a high after their emphatic 7-1 victory over Barry Town United Women at the Swansea.com Stadium, where they delivered a dominant display in their final home game before the split.

Yzzy Taylor’s side also enjoyed success at the weekend, progressing to the semi-finals of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup with a 6-0 victory over Llandudno to secure a place in the last four for the first time since 2024.

Briton Ferry Llansawel will be aiming to secure their first victory under new head coach Rhys James, who returned to the club two weeks ago following the departure of Rhys Thomas.

Ferry head into the contest without a win in their last four matches in all competitions, with their most recent league victory coming in a 2-0 win over Barry Town United back in December.

Yzzy Taylor

Head coach Yzzy Taylor: "It was a great win for us on Sunday vs Llandudno. It will be a tough week with three games in seven days but we look forward to the challenge.

"We continue to look at games on a game by game basis. We know that Ferry are going to be strong.

"With Rhys [James] going back to the club - I am sure he will have tried to get a solid tactical plan together for this game against us. So we will have to be ready for that and as always be ready to solve any problems that get thrown our way. We are looking forward to the game and excited to get out there again!"

Aimee Deacon

Swansea City Women claimed their third consecutive victory with a thumping win over Briton Ferry Llansawel Women at Llandarcy Academy of Sport back in October.

Four goals from Aimee Deacon and a brace from Chloe Chivers secured a 6-1 victory for the Swans, extending their scoring run to 16 goals across two matches following a 10-1 victory over Pontypridd United Women the previous week.

Swansea went into the break four goals to the good, with both Chivers and Deacon grabbing braces. Briton Ferry were reduced to 10 players shortly before half-time when Brooke Llewellyn was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Deacon.

The hosts pulled a goal back just two minutes after the restart, but Deacon struck twice more within nine minutes to round off a convincing victory for the Swans.
