Swansea City Women travel to the Cyncoed Campus to face Cardiff Met Women this evening (5.10pm) looking to build on last weekend’s victory over Barry Town United Women.

The Swans climbed to the top of the Genero Adran Premier following their first home game of the season beating Barry Town United Women 3-0 at Llandarcy.

Met go into the game following an action-packed 4-4 draw with The New Saints at home, having led 3-1 at half-time.

Both sides will be hoping for a win as they play live on Sgorio.

PRE-MATCH VIEWS

Ceri Phillips vs Barry Town

Head coach Ceri Phillips: “Hopefully we can gather a bit of momentum after our first win of the season on Sunday.

“We asked the players for a reaction last week and we got it. We just want to build on that now.

“Sunday certainly won’t be easy, but we’ve had a good week and we’re feeling good ahead of this weekend.

“We want to make sure that we keep building and take things one game at a time. Of course, there are plenty of positives from last week and a few things to improve on.

“Any Cardiff Met side will be tough to play, the game being on Sgorio will give everyone added motivation so they will be right up for it.

"From what we can gather, they will feel quite aggrieved that they didn’t get their first win on Sunday so I think they will take confidence from that.”
