Preview: Oxford United U23s v Swans U23s

Swansea City Under-23s launch their Premier League Cup campaign when they travel to Oxford United this evening (7pm).

FORM

The Swans are hoping for another strong run in this competition, having lifted the trophy two seasons ago and finished as runners-up last term.

They will be aiming to build momentum following last week’s creditable 1-1 draw with Villarreal B in the Premier League International Cup.

Oxford Under-23s were only formed at the start of this season.

Managed by former midfielder Chris Allen, they qualified for the group stages of this competition last month with victory over Southend United.
