PREVIEW: Swans v Man City

1st January

The Swans hope to get the New Year off to a winning start against title-chasing Manchester City at the Liberty (12.45pm).
Michael Laudrup's side host City on the back of a busy festive schedule which has included defeats to Everton and Chelsea and a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa last time out.
The Swans remain just two points off the top half of the table, however, while Manuel Pellegrini guided his team to eight wins and a draw from their fixtures in December.
They kicked off the month with a 3-0 win over the Swans thanks to two goals from Samir Nasir and another from Alvaro Negredo.
In their meetings at the Liberty in the Premier League, the Swans have one win (1-0) while last season's match ended goal-less.

TEAM NEWS
The Swans will again be without Michel Vorm, Nathan Dyer and Michu, who are all missing through injury.
Manchester City travel to SA1 without injured quartet Martin Demichelis, Stevan Jovetic, Micah Richards and Sergio Aguero. Joe Hart, however, is available despite suffering a cut below his eye during the narrow home victory over Crystal Palace on December 28.

WHAT THEY SAID
Swans boss Michael Laudrup:"If we can play like we did last time, as well as take our chances, I really think we have a chance.
"But we have to take our chances when we get them, because you will not get seven clear goal chances against a team like City."
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini: "Swansea is a team that play very well at home and away. We will need to be very strong in all senses, defending and attacking, if we want to win the three points."
