Swansea City Ladies come up against FC Dinamo Minsk this evening in the UEFA Women’s Champions League third-place play-off of group six in Limassol (3.45pm).

The Swans put in a valiant display to take CSKA Moscow to extra time in their semi-final but unfortunately they lost out in the end to the Russian Champions.

Meanwhile, Dinamo lost out to Swansea’s opponents last year in Apollon, who triumphed 2-0, also in extra-time.

Both teams are unable to qualify for the next round, but will be eager to earn themselves a win on the big stage.

Pre-match views

Chris Llewellyn: “It is going to be another tough game and it is going to be a different sort of game.

“We played on Wednesday at 10 o’clock at night and Saturday we will be playing in the afternoon, so the heat could play a big factor.

“We have rested and hopefully we can put in another good performance.”

Remember the last time?

It is no surprise that both sides have never come against each other before today’s fixture, but it should make for yet another enticing Champions League encounter as they look to end their respective campaigns on a high.
