The match, which will be shown live on S4C, marks the Swans first outing since their transition to semi-professional status over the summer, and provides an opportunity for the six summer signings to make their competitive bows.

Wrexham will also make their first outing as a semi-professional side as they return to the Genero Adran Premier for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

Ceri Phillips vs Plymouth

Swansea City Women head coach Ceri Phillips: “It’s a really exciting year, the league looks really strong this year. We’ve had a really good summer, we got through a lot of good work, and I’m really pleased with how things are developing.

“We can’t wait to get out there now and put everything we’ve worked on into practice.

“Behind the scenes, it’s an exciting time for the club, our squad and women’s football in general.

“Wrexham have had a fantastic year and they’ve had a good summer. They’re a very welcome addition to the league and we look forward to battling with them across the season.

“We’ve had a squad discussion and set our targets and standards for the season. We all know exactly what we need to do this season and how we want to achieve it.

“We know it’s not going to be easy.

“There are going to be bumps in the road, but it’s all about how we react to them. It’s a long season and we’ll need everyone and we need to be together.”
