Rangel: Let's push on over festive period

24th December

Angel Rangel is urging his team-mates to seize an opportunity to pick up valuable Premier League points over the festive period.
The Swans returned to winning ways last weekend with a narrow win over Hull City at the KC Stadium, and the club's first away victory since the opening day of the campaign.
Ki Sung-Yueng's third goal of the season proved to be the difference, as Garry Monk's side moved on to 25 points - the highest total in their Premier League history.
Swansea now welcome Aston Villa to the Liberty Stadium on Boxing Day before travelling to Liverpool three days later and facing QPR on New Year's Day.
And Rangel has called on the Swans squad to capitalise on the win over Hull and maintain their fine first half of the season.
"After two defeats the most important thing other than the result was the performance," he said. "We created a lot of chances, limited Hull to very few and we could have gone on to win the game by a greater margin.
"But the character we displayed shows the spirit we have in this team. We knew what was coming against Hull and we won a lot of second balls.
"Sometimes you can lose concentration or concede a goal, but we kept our heads until the final minute and the desire from everyone was fantastic.
"We made seven changes but everyone performed - and we need that at this stage of the season.
"We have to take this result forward into the Aston Villa game on Boxing Day because we have a great opportunity to get two wins in a row and consolidate ourselves in the top half of the table."
