Rangel stars in Jack Mag

29th April

Angel Rangel reflects on his remarkable Swansea City story in this weekend's Jack Magazine as the Swans host Liverpool in the Barclays Premier League (12pm).
After reaching the impressive milestone of 300 league appearances for the Swans, Rangel discusses his fairytale journey from the third tier of Spanish football to establishing himself as an accomplished Premier League full-back, who has gone on to help re-write the club's history books.
"It comes as a surprise to me because time has gone so quickly," admits Rangel, reflecting on what has been a near-decade of success in the coastal city of Swansea.
"I arrived here not really knowing if I would play 30 league games, let alone 300, so it's a fantastic achievement for me. I've applied myself over the years and I've been lucky with injuries, while the managers I've had have trusted me in their starting XI.
"The style of play in the last nine years has been about keeping the ball and playing quick and short passes, which has suited me.
"If it had been different, then I wouldn't be here talking about playing 300 league games because my style wouldn't have suited the team, and vice versa."

Elsewhere in Saturday's matchday magazine, we get to know a little bit more about Under-18s striker Jordan Garrick, while U21s winger Kenji Gorre talks to official matchday magazine about his "big" year ahead.
Meanwhile, ex-Liverpool and Swans defender Max Thompson reflects on his time at both clubs, comedian and film write Kojo Anim goes under the spotlight in 'A Famous Face', and former Swans star Tony Bird features in 'Where Are They Now?'.
And if that wasn't enough for you, we have plenty more insightful and entertaining features to whet your appetite right up until kick-off!
Jack Magazine is available for just £3 on matchday from around the Liberty Stadium, the Club Shop and online.
It will also be available in Slee Stores in Plasmari, Coggers on Wind Street and Browns Newsagent in Landore.
Jack Magazine really is a must-have for any Swans fan. Don't miss out.
