Swansea City Ladies opened up a six-point gap at the top of the Genero Adran Premier with a comfortable victory at Aberystwyth Town.

Goals from Laura Davies, Chloe Chivers and Katy Hosford were on the scoresheet for the Swans, who maintained their perfect record so far this season.

Chris Church’s side had found Aber to be obdurate opponents in their previous meeting in the cup last term, but the visitors were on the front foot from the off at Park Avenue.

Davies had the first chance of the evening, but she could not keep her shot down as she fired over the crossbar.

Kelly Adams also went close as she sent a shot narrowly wide, but the Swans did take the lead on the stroke of half-time as Davis slid home a fine cross from Rhianne Oakley.

The Swans remained on the front foot after the break, and they doubled their lead when substitute Chivers netted just five minutes after coming on.

She wasted little time making an impact as she fired home a superb strike from 25 yards.

And Hosford rounded off the scoring five minutes from time as Hosford was on hand to convert a Davies cross.
