Report | Swansea City U18s 5 Hull City U18s 1

Swansea City Under-18s recorded back-to-back home wins with a convincing victory over Hull City at the Joma High Performance Centre.
Goals from Harlan Perry, Brogan Popham, Kai Rhodes, Billy Clarke and Milo Robinson saw the young Swans maintain a 100% record at home so far this season, following their 4-0 victory over Fleetwood Town on the opening day of the season.
The first half was filled with chances for the home side, who would have been disappointed to go into the break with just the one-goal advantage.
But the Swans were ruthless in the final third during the second half, with two goals in the first 15 minutes putting them in a dominant position before adding a couple more in the final 10 minutes of the match.
The Swans had made the perfect start, breaking the deadlock inside the opening minute when Robinson drove forward and teed up Perry, who unleashed a superb strike from just outside the area that left Alfie Lizardos stranded in the Tigers goal.
The visitors looked to respond immediately, but Zac Jagielka’s powerful strike was straight at Swans keeper Tom Wright.
The Swans continued to dominate and push for a second goal, with Harvey Gray and Clarke forcing two quickfire saves from Lizardos, who got down well to deny both efforts.

Chances kept falling to the hosts with Rhodes running at the Tigers defence but dragging his shot wide of the right-hand post, while Kaven Bloniarczyk forced Lizardos into a strong save.
The visitors did manage to carve out an opportunity on the half-hour mark, but Alfie Maskell’s strike from distance was well held by goalkeeper Wright.
Swansea continued to try and extend the lead going into the break with Rhodes really causing the Tigers defence problems, beating his man and laying the ball off to Alfie Jones, whose first-time effort flashed wide of the post.
Swansea kept up the intensity at the start of the second half, and nearly doubled their lead within the first few minutes when Clarke delivered a pin point-cross to Gray, but the forward was unable to direct his headed effort on target.
However, the hosts were finally rewarded for their efforts six minutes into the half, when Popham headed home at the back post following a great delivery from captain Perry.
And the Swans quickly added a third just eight minutes later after some neat footwork from Rhodes saw the winger create space for a shot, which he drilled past Lizardos.
The hosts were in complete control and scored a fourth goal with 10 minutes to play; Clarke scoring for the second consecutive home match with a great volley from inside the area.
A clean sheet wasn't to be for the Swans however, with Hull captain Jagielka converting from the penalty spot with five minutes to play following a foul in the area.
Swansea would have the last word, though. Substitute Elis Thomas sent Robinson through on goal and he calmly slotted the ball through Lizardos' legs to complete the scoring in added time.
