Robyn Pinder keen to make most of Swansea.com Stadium chance

When Robyn Pinder signed for Swansea City Women she had her picture taken on the touchline at the Swansea.com Stadium, but this Sunday she and her teammates will be the centre of attention out in the middle when they host Wrexham Women.

The Genero Adran Premier fixture sees the Swans play at the stadium for the first time this season, and the first time since becoming semi-professional.

Last season, Swansea beat Cardiff Met Women and drew with Cardiff City Women in SA1, and will be hoping to keep that unbeaten record going when second faces third in the Welsh top-flight.

The two sides played out a thrilling and dramatic 3-3 draw on the opening day of the season, and Pinder hopes home advantage and home support can help the hosts go one better this time around.

“I’m really excited for it and I’m looking forward to being out there,” said Pinder.

"I remember when we signed in the summer, we had pictures taken at the stadium. I have had the opportunity to see the men's team play there and it must made me so desperate to have the chance to be out there.

“It’s going to be a massive game, a lot of people wrote off Wrexham early on but they gave us such a tough game away from home and both teams are high up in the table.

"We know we will have great support who will be right behind us, and we really want to give back to our community as a team.

"Having that backing really helps when you’re tired and your legs are going. When you hear people cheering you on it gives you that little bit of extra momentum and I have no doubt it will be the same on Sunday and hopefully we can mark the occasion with a good performance and a win."
