Rory's on the goal trail

7th July

Rory Donnelly is hoping to keep the goals flowing in Holland after he opened his account in the 5-1 win over Excelsior Maassluis.
The Northern Irish striker bagged his first goal of the Dutch tour when he latched onto Jonjo Shelvey's sublime pass before cutting inside onto his right foot and curling into the far corner.
It was a strike that edged the Swans ahead having fallen behind early on, and it got the ball rolling as Alejandro Pozuelo, Kenji Gorre and Nathan Dyer added further goals following Roland Lamah's early equaliser.
And Donnelly, who featured for 75 minutes of the opening tour win over FC Gravenzande, is hoping to impress further on the tour in the final games against NAC Breda and ADO Den Haag.
"I'm hoping to have a good pre-season with the first team, and keep scoring some goals," said Donnelly, who impressed with his performances for the club's Under-21s side last season.
"Then I want to kick on from there in time for the start of the season.
"The tour is going good so far. The boys have made it really easy for me to settle in.
"They are good lads to get along with. At any other club it could be difficult, but at this club it has been easy to gel with everyone."
***Wednesday's third tour friendly match against NAC Breda is expected to go ahead at a new venue, which is not expected to be confirmed until Monday.
