Russell Martin has the luxury of a full squad available once again as Swansea City head to Championship leaders Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Swans take in their third game within the space of a week as Martin’s side face arguably their toughest test of the campaign.

They head to the Vitality Stadium on the back of victories over Peterborough United and Coventry City.

It concludes another demanding week for the Swans ahead of the latest international break, and Martin has hinted he could make changes in order to keep his team fresh and energised.

The Swans boss pointed to his decision to replace top scorer Joel Piroe and Olivier Ntcham in the last three games as an opportunity to give them some form of a rest.

He said: “It’s about balance. We have been able to give people time off the pitch in the last few games, like Joel and Oli.

“There will be a change, I’m sure of that. With the way we play with intensity and tempo, it’s not easy to keep playing at this level. It’s a balance of work and rest between the two games.

“In the last three-game week at Birmingham we lacked energy in the second half. It still hurts me that we lost that game.

“These guys are in a better place physically since then because of the work they’ve done and the games they’ve got in their legs.”
