Shelvey charged by FA

Tue, 12/30/2014 - 17:58

Swansea City can confirm that midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has been charged by The FA for violent conduct following an incident in Monday night's Barclays Premier League defeat at Liverpool.

The Football Association said the incident with Liverpool's Emre Can "was not seen by the match officials but caught on video".

Shelvey, who could face a four-match ban starting at QPR on New Year's Day, now has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge.
