Steffan supports Swans DVD

21st June

Swansea City's new season review DVD has had the backing of award-winning actor Steffan Rhodri.
The huge Swans fan, who is best known for portraying Dave Coaches on the BBC's Gavin & Stacey and as Reg Cattermole in Harry Potter, agreed to front the double-disc DVD which tells the story of the best season in the club's history.
During production, Steffan was the presenting face of the DVD while also narrating key parts of the story.
Steffan, who hails from Morriston, grew up watching the Swans and was a regular visitor to the Vetch Field during the golden era under John Toshack. He is now a regular with his son at the Liberty Stadium.
"It has been the most successful season ever," said Steffan. "There was a real vibrancy and excitement around the club and the city last season.
"The foundations have been laid, and I hope that we can just continue to build as we have been because it is working so far."

As the team wore gold on their shirts to mark the Centenary, there was also silver in the cabinet as Michael Laudrup's men lifted the Capital One Cup at Wembley, the club's first major trophy, and an impressive  ninth-place in the Barclays Premier League.
It capped a fantastic season that made the Jack Army feel 'Laud and Proud' as the Premier League sat up and praised the free-flowing Swans for their stylish play.
The season started with a bang after a crushing 5-0 victory at QPR - and the Swans never looked back with famous victories over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, plus impressive draws with champions Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City.

'The Golden Year'DVD  re-lives the 2012-13 season in all its glory. The story is told through exclusive interviews with manager Michael Laudrup, long-standing coach Alan Curtis and key players including Michu, Garry Monk, Pablo Hernandez, Gerhard Tremmel, Ben Davies, Wayne Routledge, Angel Rangel and Leon Britton.
There are also highlights from every league and cup game, plus exclusive bonus features with members of the Swans squad and management.
