Steve Cooper | We did not do enough

Steve Cooper admitted Swansea City had not done enough to win as their unbeaten run came to an end against Nottingham Forest.

Substitute Alfa Semedo struck from Lewis Grabban’s cross with five minutes to place, as Forest became the first Championship side to win at the Liberty Stadium in 2019.

The result also ended the Swans unbeaten start to life under head coach Cooper, and the 39-year-old gave an honest assessment of his side’s display, although he felt they had merited a point rather than the defeat they suffered.

“I don’t think we did enough to win the game that’s for sure, and that’s probably the most frustrating bit,” he said.

“We have conceded, we have made a mistake and conceded an awful goal really.

“I am not sure we deserved to lose either, but the main focus is that we did not do enough to win the game, which was the goal today.”
