Swansea City Disabled Supporters' Association (DSA) are set to continue their sponsorship of the club’s sensory room for the 2025-26 season.

The sensory room – a converted hospitality box located in the West Stand – has opened up the possibility of attending football games to countless fans who may otherwise find the experience challenging.

Launched in 2019, the room has seen numerous supporters with ASD, dementia and other learning or behavioural challenges enjoy the matchday at their own pace.

In 2024, the DSA first offered to sponsor the room, which led to the introduction of new calming lighting, mirror and liquid flooring tiles as well as bespoke, sensory packs for those using the room to keep as a memento of their day.

In 2025, the sponsorship – which is in memory of DSA members who have sadly passed away – will also see a small selection of sensory toys be made available in The Cwtch’s inclusion space for anyone who uses the space to regulate and find calm.

The introduction of the items in The Cwtch is part of the 'Everyone Needs A Cwtch Sometimes' project which will see improvements to the multi-functional room so supporters can make better use of the space on matchday.

DSA chair, Andrew Brayley, said: "The DSA is proud and very pleased to be sponsoring the Sensory Room once again this year.  In addition, we provide what we can, including advice and equipment for other inclusive spaces. It is important to the DSA that every fan has the opportunity to enjoy football with friends and family in a safe and inclusive environment, no matter what their needs."

Head of supporters services, Hayley Ford, added: “We’re so grateful to the DSA for their advice and support in improving both the sensory room and the inclusion space within The Cwtch.

“We know how important this space is to supporters who can sometimes find the matchday atmosphere challenging, and I’ve had many conversations with fans who feel comfortable attending games simply because they know the inclusion space is available to them if required.

“The DSA's continued support of the sensory room will also lead to an improved experience for those who use it.”

Sensory Room bookings are now open and supporters are able to reserve a game by emailing accessibility@swanseacity.com.

The sensory room is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and it is recommended that you include a couple of options of games you would like to attend when emailing.

Please note, due to high demand and limited spaces in the sensory room supporters are only able to book the room for one match initially.
