Swans duo help Wales to crucial win

3rd September

Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor both played 90 minutes as Wales took a huge step towards qualification for Euro 2016 with a 1-0 win against Cyprus.
In a tight contest in Nicosia, it looked as though the game would finish goalless until Gareth Bale headed home a Jazz Richards cross with eight minutes to play.
The result means Chris Coleman's men are three points clear at the top of Group B, knowing victory against Israel in Cardiff on Sunday would seal their place at next summer's European Championships in France.
Elsewhere in qualification, Gylfi Sigurdsson scored from the penalty spot as Iceland secured a fantastic 1-0 victory over Holland in Amsterdam.
It means Iceland stay top of Group A and will qualify for next summer's finals with a draw against Kazakhstan on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ki Sung-Yueng was the only other Swans player in international action on Thursday as the midfielder captained South Korea in their 8-0 win over Laos in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.
