Swans duo praise appointment of "Mr Swansea City" Alan Curtis

7th January

Club stalwarts Angel Rangel and Leon Britton believe "Mr Swansea City" Alan Curtis is the right man to lead the team for the rest of the campaign.
It was confirmed today that club legend Curtis will continue to take the managerial duties for the duration of the season, having guided the team in his caretaker-manager role for the last five matches.
Curtis' main focus will be to steer the Swans away from the Barclays Premier League dropzone, with the club currently two points above third-bottom Newcastle United.
And Rangel and Britton have revealed the squad's delight in Curtis' appointment.

"We trust Huw Jenkins and the board because they've always made the right decisions," said Rangel. "Curt loves the club and the club loves him. He's not about himself, he's all about the club and that's a really important thing.
"He commands full respect. No matter what decision he makes, nobody can argue because he's been there since day one helping everyone.
"We all have massive respect for Curt. His contribution, along with David Adams, has helped us move in the right direction and we're delighted Curt has been given the responsibility to manage the team for the rest of the season."
Britton echoed his team-mate's comments, adding: "We're delighted with Curt's appointment because he has our full respect and we know what this club means to him.
"He's Mr Swansea City and a real legend here. We've really enjoyed playing under him.
"We want to get out of the situation as quickly as possible, and the players are confident Curt and David Adams can steer us in the right direction."
