Swans fan wins tickets to Villarreal clash

7th August 2014

One Swans fan will get the new season underway in style this weekend after winning free tickets to Saturday's friendly against Villarreal, courtesy of Swans Lotto.
David Wills, from Morriston, will be in attendance at the Liberty Stadium as Garry Monk's side play their last pre-season game before kicking off the new Premier League season against Manchester United on August 16.
The loyal fan, who travelled to Romania to watch the Swans in the Europa League last season, says he's been playing Swans Lotto for some time after seeing it advertised in the matchday programme.
"I thought why not give it a go," he said. "It's a good chance to win prizes like this, a chance to maybe get the jackpot and a great way to give something back to my team.
"I like that the money fans pay in goes back to help people in the community, even though we are a Premier League club now. I think the links the club has developed with local charities is exceptional.
"It is very easy to access and play from links on the club website, so there's no excuses not to give it a go."
David, who is a regular season ticket holder at Liberty Stadium, says he can't wait to see some of the new summer signings on show at Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
"I think it's going to be a great game and I can't wait to see some of our new signings play," he said. "Villarreal coming here is a real scoop for the club, I loved watching us during our Europa League campaign last year and it's great we are still attracting top European clubs back to south Wales."
