Swans Ladies face Yeovil friendly double-header

26th May

Swansea City Ladies have bolstered their pre-season plans with two friendly matches against Yeovil Town Ladies.
The Ladies host the Glovers this Sunday (May 29) in Landore before heading to Yeovil's training ground on June 12 (both games kick-off at 2pm), with both matches coming before the squad's pre-season tour of New Jersey.
Women's Super League 2 leaders Yeovil will provide challenging opposition for the Swans, who will be looking to build on a second-place finish in the Welsh Premier Women's League in search of Champions League football next year.
Following the friendlies, the Ladies will set off for America on June 19 where they will take on local teams Jersey United Spartans, PDA and New Jersey Copa.
"The excitement surrounding our tour to the States is growing week by week and with only a ten-day break, the players are already back in training," said Swansea City Ladies manager Ian Owen.
"The two games against a top quality team like Yeovil will hopefully stand us in good stead for the intense itinerary and competition we will encounter in New Jersey with three tough games in four days.
"Our players are up for the challenge after yet another good season in the Welsh Premier Women's League and these five top level games will give us a great start to our preparations for the 2016/17 season."
