Swans launch Coach Identity Programme

7th March
Club

Swansea City has launched its first Coach Identity Programme which will give up-and-coming coaches in Wales and beyond the unique opportunity to volunteer within the club’s category one academy.

This programme will provide individuals with the opportunity to work closely with the academy coaches and demonstrate their coaching abilities with a variety of age groups – pre-academy (under-6s to under-8s), foundation (under-9s to under-11s) and youth (under-12s to under-16s).

The aim of this programme is to identify coaches for future roles at the club.

If you have a passion for coaching players including goalkeepers, currently hold or are working towards Uefa B Licence and are looking for ways to progress into a role at a category one academy, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

This is an unpaid voluntary position and time commitment will be minimal. Those who are selected to join the programme will be asked to attend up to two sessions per month.

Please forward your CV, outlining your current coaching qualifications and experience, to:

Roy Thomas, Head of Academy Coaching, Swansea City Academy, Beaufort Road Plasmarl Swansea SA6 8AX or email roythomas@swanseacity.com

The closing date for applications will be Friday, April 13, 2018.

If you are selected, you will be required to attend an introductory workshop on Monday, April 21, 2018 at the Swansea City Academy at 7pm.

Once you have applied for this role, you are required to complete an equal opportunities survey to allow the club to monitor the diversity of its applicants and ensure we are reaching a broad spectrum of people. The survey will take less than five minutes and can be accessed by clicking HERE.
