The Swans are just days away from setting up home in the heart of the city centre with the grand opening of a new multi-purpose club shop.

The Jack Army will be able to find all their Swans needs under one roof when the doors open at 33-34 Union Street this Saturday, October 7, at 10am.

Situated in the old Rowberry shoe shop close to the main entrance of the Quadrant Shopping Centre and Swansea Market, the new double-fronted store will house the complete range of Swansea City merchandise over 1400 square feet of modern floor space.

It will also provide a customer services point and state-of-the-art interactive screens with kids games and future quizzes, plus a sales outlet for match tickets and hospitality.

The shop will be officially opened by Swans legend Alan Curtis at 10am with our commercial radio partners Swansea Sound & The Wave broadcasting a four-hour show live from outside the store.

Our promotion teams, together with club ambassador Lee Trundle and the man for all main moments Kevin Johns MBE, will also be on hand to entertain fans and shoppers alike with plenty of interaction and giveaways.

The Swans freestyler will be in attendance to teach the kids a few tricks, together with Trundle’s (morning only) magic daps who no doubt will have a few skills of his own on show.

There will also be four football tables for the young and not so young to tackle, Swans selfie frames, goodie bags and everyone’s favourite mascots Cyril and Cybil.

Swans’ chief operating officer, Chris Pearlman, believes the new city centre shop will prove a big hit with fans and help the club meet the growing demand for official merchandise, tickets, hospitality and customer service requests.

“As the club plays such an important role in the community, we felt it was vital we had a more visible presence in the heart of Swansea,” he explained.

“The continued prosperity and development of the city will benefit us all, and we believe this is a meaningful step in helping that growth.

“The busy club shop at the Liberty Stadium will remain, but the new city centre store will also provide another connection point for the club with our supporters.”

The Liberty Stadium club shop and online store www.swansdirect.com will remain open as usual, but the Cwmdu Debenhams outlets have now closed.
