Swans shortlisted at Football Business Awards

3rd November

Swansea City have been shortlisted for two awards at this week's 2015 Football Business Awards.
The event, which takes place at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, November 5 recognises many of the unsung heroes behind the scenes who help to shape the whole football industry.
And Swansea City has been recognised in two categories - Best Club Marketing Initiative and Best Marketing of a Football Club.
The first category is for the 2015-16 home kit launch that centred upon the club's copper history and thus provoked a hugely positive response on social media via the #CopperStripe campaign.
Hannah Eames, Marketing and Communications Manager, said: "For a small marketing department it's a great achievement to be shortlisted for these two awards.
"Following on from the club's best season in the Barclays Premier League, the video we produced eclipsed anything we had ever done before and it goes to show that it is not just on the pitch where the club has had success in recent years.
"The whole team has worked extremely hard over the past 12 months and being shortlisted is justification for all their efforts."
The second category in which the club has been shortlisted for is the integration of a polished CRM data system for such tools as ticketing and merchandise.
Julie Parienti, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, said: "We are also very pleased to have been shortlisted for this category. The team have worked tirelessly on the CRM system and, as a result, the new database went from having 81,126 people (63,500 with email) to 163,412 (120,124 with email) - an increase of 50%."
