Swans story heads Stateside

13th March

Documentary film Jack to a King will be given a premiere on the west coast of the United States next month.
Fans of MLS side Portland Timbers will host a special showing of the Swansea story on Thursday, April 30.
The showing will be followed by a transatlantic Q&A about the film, with key people who feature in the story speaking directly from the Swans boardroom to the cinema via video link.
Jack to a King proved a huge success, reaching number one on Amazon's best documentary sellers list in late December along with entering the top 100 iTunes UK film chart in early 2015.
Executive Producer Mal Pope said: "I'm very excited about the enthusiasm Portland fans already have for the film.
"They are known around United States as the most fanatical fans in the MLS and have a similar story of almost going out of business like Swansea.
"I and a few special guests will also be taking part in a special Skype Q&A call directly from the Swansea City boardroom to fans following the film - which is a great opportunity to speak to our American fans.
"If the film gets a good reaction in Portland, the next stop for Jack to a King could be coast to coast."
The DVD of Jack to a King is still available from Swansea City's Liberty Stadium and Cwmdu club shop. Also online - click and collect - at www.swansdirect.com
