Swans touch down in Switzerland

11th December

The Swans have finally checked into their base in St Gallen after the team's flight to Switzerland was hit by major delays.
The squad had expected to fly out from Cardiff at 10am but fog issues, and mechanical problems on the plane, meant the team faced a seven-hour delay in the airport before another plane flew in from Southend to take them to Zurich.
The flight finally got underway at 5.15pm, landing at 8pm local time in Zurich in temperatures of -2C with the team arriving at their hotel an hour later.
The delays led to the cancellation of today's scheduled training session ahead of Thursday's Europa League Group A fixture with St Gallen at the AFG Arena.
Manager Michael Laudrup, however, made the trip with no issues. He jetted off to Paris on Monday to visit his daughter, and he landed in Zurich this morning before holding his press conference at the stadium.
The Swans will now take in a light training session on Thursday morning before the game kicks off at 7pm (local time).
