Swansea City must wait to see whether Tom Carroll will be fit for Saturday’s clash with Ipswich Town.

The midfielder was forced off early in the second half as the Swans drew 0-0 at Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

Carroll’s loss was a blow to the Graham Potter’s men, for he had been an influential figure at the DW Stadium.

He had also impressed against Queens Park Rangers last weekend, but is an early doubt for Ipswich’s visit to the Liberty.

“Tom felt his groin,” said Swans boss Graham Potter.

“But the fact that he came off was more of a precaution.

“We felt it could get worse so we brought him off, but we hope he will have a chance for Ipswich.

“We will see how he is tomorrow and how he responds.”
