Swansea City and Ecuador winger Jefferson Montero to see specialist

8th November

Swansea City winger Jefferson Montero will see a specialist this week after fracturing a bone in his hand against Manchester United on Sunday.
Montero, who had just returned from a calf injury, suffered the fracture in a fall during the game.
He flew to Ecuador straight after the Premier League clash for international duty where the team doctor confirmed the club's fears following an x-ray.
Having been excused international duty, Montero is currently flying back to Swansea to see a specialist and assess whether he is able to continue playing with a cast.
