Swansea City can end Tottenham Hotspur hoodoo, says Ecuador winger Jefferson Montero

2nd October

Speedster Jefferson Montero believes the Swans can make a quick return to winning ways and end their Tottenham hoodoo on Sunday (4pm).
The Swans are yet to beat the North London club since winning promotion to the Barclays Premier League in 2011.
In the last eight encounters between the sides, the Swans have picked up just a solitary point - courtesy of Scott Sinclair's strike on New Year's Eve four years ago.
But Montero, who caught the eye with mesmerising performances in the opening games against Chelsea and Newcastle, revealed the Swans are up for the challenge as Mauricio Pochettino's side visit the Liberty.

"We know how difficult it is going to be," said the Ecuadorian winger. "When I arrived people said that Swansea had never won at Old Trafford in the league, but we did that in the first match last season.
"Nothing is impossible and we'll try to do our best. I'm sure the players who are picked are going to give everything on the field on Sunday.
"I think we don't have to worry that we've not won in the last few games. We've got great players and these periods in football just happen. Look at Chelsea, they started badly and are getting better.
"Last season something similar happened to us and we finished among the top eight in the league.
"This is just the beginning and we're going to get better.
"Last season we finished in eighth place, but now the aim is to finish higher and we hope with hard work every day and winning matches we'll move up again."
