Swansea City: The Fall and Rise

21st May

Swans fans can experience the club's remarkable rise to the Promised Land of Premier League football in a special BBC documentary tonight (Tuesday).
Swansea City: The Fall and Rise follows the incredible journey from staring non-league football in the face during that final-day game with Hull City to climbing up the footballing ladder and mixing it with some of football's heavyweights.
The documentary captures the thoughts of former managers Brian Flynn and Roberto Martinez, who played key roles in the club's success, along with the likes of James Thomas and Leon Britton.
"Of course, the football side to the story is rags to riches stuff in itself - club goes from near bankruptcy to the top league - but what we found when making the programme is that tells only half the tale," said the BBC's Simon Davies.
"In truth, this is a human interest story and an emotional rollercoaster ride for anyone with a nodding acquaintance with Swansea City."
You can watch the documentary on BBC One Wales tonight at 10.35pm.
