Swansea City Ladies Emma Beynon

13th February

Swansea City Ladies midfielder Emma Beynon has been called up to represent Wales Women in next month's Cyprus Women's Cup.
After linking up with the national side's training camp in January, which she attended with fellow Swan Katy Hosford, Beynon has earned a place in Jayne Ludlow's squad.
With international experience at youth level from U16 to U19, Beynon will be seeking her first competitive senior cap at the tournament that will take place in venues across Cyprus, including the 13,000 seater GSZ Stadium.
"It's an honour to be selected for Wales and I'm so grateful for the opportunity," said Beynon. "I've put a lot of extra work in this season, so it's great to see that paying off and I'm really looking forward to the chance to represent Wales Women at the highest possible level."
Drawn in Group C, Wales will start their campaign against Hungary on March 1 before taking on the Czech Republic two days later with their final group game against the Republic of Ireland on March 6.
The final day's action will take place on March 8 to determine the final standings of the 12-team competition.
The call up comes during a successful season for Beynon, who has netted seven times in the Welsh Premier Women's League for Swans Ladies, who sit seven points clear of Abergavenny at the top.
Aside from their fantastic form in the league, they have also made the final four of the FAW Women's Cup.
"Swans Ladies are having a great season and this adds to everything else we've achieved," added Beynon.
