Swansea City Ladies Llandudno

4th October

Goals from Emma Beynon and Stacey John led Swansea City Ladies to their third victory of the 2016-17 season in the Welsh Premier Women's League.
The Swans went on the attack with an excellent effort from Stacey John which forced Llandudno's keeper into action in the third minute.
Two minutes later, a superb cross from Jodie Passmore found Katy Hosford only for her shot rattle the woodwork before Beynon, Passmore and Hancocks all came close to scoring minutes later.
The Swans hit the woodwork again after 20 minutes when Hosford's dangerous cross found Stacey John in the box, only to see John's headed effort hit the left post. But Swansea took a deserved lead a minute later when Emma Beynon fired home a low shot.
John came close to doubling the lead in the 24th minute only for her close range effort to get cleared off the line by Llandudno's defence.
The visitors were reduced to ten players shortly before the half-hour mark when their keeper was shown a red card for handling the ball outside the box.

Swansea continued to dominate the play in the second half as Hosford and Beynon linked-up once again only for the effort to go wide before a brilliant strike from Passmore was parried onto the cross bar by Llandudno's keeper.
But Swansea doubled their lead minutes later with a superb headed goal from Stacey John, notching up her fifth of the season.
Llandudno showed their intent to get back into the game, with Kelsey Davies netting for the visitors in the 74th minute.
However, Beynon sealed the win for the Swans when she bundled home her fifth goal of the season in the 82nd minute.
After the match, scorer Emma Beynon explained: "I think overall we made it difficult for ourselves, obviously it's good to get the three points, but we created a lot of chances that we missed.
"We will now have a week off, to give everyone the chance to get refreshed and then with a good week of training, I think we will be able to come back as a team before the game against Aberystwyth."
