Swansea City Ladies PILCS Emma Beynon

11th May

Swansea City Ladies were beaten 2-1 by PILCS as they suffered their first defeat in nine games.
The home side took an early lead through Alana Murphy, but the Swans hit back to draw level just two minutes later with a great strike from midfielder Emma Beynon.
Swansea had their chances to take the lead through Katy Hosford and Sophie Hancocks, while Taylor Bubnick's fierce strike came back off the woodwork.
The visitors came even closer on 27 minutes as Jodie Passmore's shot hit the post, but Hosford's follow up effort was saved well by the PILCS goalkeeper.
Then, in the second half, the home side punished the Swans as Jassie Vasconcelos netted five minutes after half-time for what proved to be the winner.
"It wasn't the result we wanted," said midfielder Sarah Adams. "We just needed to capitalise when we had the chances.
"We will come back fighting next week for the last game of the season."
