Swansea City launch Supporters Advisory Board
Swansea City is delighted to launch a brand-new Supporter Advisory Board (SAB) which will seek to bring the voices of fans closer to the club’s decision making.
Following consultation with the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust, and the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA), we are pleased to be able to take this positive step forward for fan engagement at the football club and confirm that applications for individual supporters and supporter groups are now open.
The introduction of the SAB, which will operate separately and outside the influence of existing fan bodies, will ensure that the Swans remains in line with the evolution of fan engagement within football which – with the introduction of the Independent Football Regulator – will mandate that supporters have more of a say in how your club is run.
The SAB will in-part replace the Trust-led Matchday Experience Working Group, which operated between October 2023 and July 2026 and focused on matchday experience.
This new group will have a broader remit and will operate independently of the club and Trust, although the Trust’s place on the board of directors remains a key part of the club’s fan engagement commitment.
There will be up to 12 SAB representatives (six from supporter groups and six democratically elected supporter representatives), who will meet with the club’s key decision makers four times per season to provide guidance and insight to the highest level of club decision making.
