Josh Sheehan struck a sensational goal to lift Newport County out of the League Two relegation zone with a third consecutive win.
The midfielder fired a superb half-volley to add the final gloss during a stunning 3-0 win at Notts County.
Sheehan, like Newport, is enjoying a great run of form with this being his fifth goal in his last six matches for the Exiles.
Remaining in League Two, Liam Shephard and Ryan Hedges helped Yeovil to the brink of the play-off spots with a dramatic 2-1 home victory over Colchester.
Despite trailing to a goal just after the break, Darren Way's side levelled in the 86th minute before striking a winner in added on time.
Hedges made his 22nd appearance for the Gloves, while Shephard also played the full 90 minutes in what his 16th game for the Huish Park club.



In the Championship, Kyle Bartley couldn't prevent Leeds from going down to a 2-0 home defeat to leaders Newcastle United.
Bartley made his 20th appearance of the season for Leeds, while Matt Grimes was an unused substitute.
Bafe Gomis captained Marseille and provided the assist in their 1-0 home win over Caen in Ligue 1.
Marseille rose to 11th in the French top flight courtesy of the win, with a trip to Monaco up next on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Franck Tabanou (Granada), Kenji Gorre (Northampton), Adam King (Southend) and Josh Vickers (Barnet) were unused substitutes for their clubs. Connor Roberts (Bristol Rovers) and Marvin Emnes (Blackburn) didn't feature over the weekend.
