Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng featured for South Korea as they drew 1-1 with Russia in their opening World Cup group tie.
Ki played for the full 90 minutes as Korea, who had led through Lee Keun-ho, settled for a share of the spoils after substitute Aleksandr Kerzhakov put Russia back on level terms.
South Korea's next game is against Algeria on Sunday.
