Swansea City midfielder Matt Grimes joins Blackburn Rovers on loan

13th February

Swansea City's Matt Grimes has joined Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a three-month emergency loan deal.
The England Under-20 midfielder underwent a medical with the Lancashire club today, and is now available for Tuesday night's home game against Fulham.
Grimes, 20, has made seven appearances for the Swans since joining from League Two club Exeter City in January 2015.
He made his Swans debut off the bench in a 3-1 win over Hull City last season, while he scored his first goal for the club in the Capital One Cup win over York in August.
He has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season with the likes of Leon Britton, Jack Cork, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Ki Sung-Yueng, Andre Ayew and new loanee Leroy Fer all competing for positions in Francesco Guidolin's plans.
