Connor Roberts

Connor Roberts is hoping to help Wales qualify for Euro 2020 tonight as Ryan Giggs’ side host Hungary in Cardiff.

It’s a winner-takes-all clash as victory for the hosts will see them move above Hungary and qualify automatically as group runners-up.

Wales, who are guaranteed a play-off spot for qualification regardless of tonight’s result, have put themselves in this position by beating Azerbaijan 2-0 on Saturday.

Roberts played the full 90 minutes in Baku as Wales kept their hopes in tact thanks to goals from Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson.

Andre Ayew captained Ghana to two victories as they started their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on a positive note.

Ghana kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 home win over South Africa, before a 1-0 win over Sao Tome – thanks to a penalty from ex-Swan Jordan Ayew – on Tuesday finished off a pleasing international window.

Bersant Celina

Bersant Celina played in both of Kosovo’s qualifying matches against the Czech Republic and England.

Celina played for 85 minutes as Kosovo went down 2-1 in Plzen before featuring for the whole game in the 4-0 home defeat to England.

Kosovo face a play-off semi-final clash with North Macedonia in March as they look to reach their first major tournament.

Kristoffer Nordfeldt started in goal and kept a cleansheet as Sweden beat the Faroe Islands 3-0 on Monday night.

Sweden had already confirmed their spot at Euro 2020 a few days earlier after seeing off Romania 2-0 - a game Nordfeldt watched on as an unused sub.

Ali Al-Hamadi, meanwhile, featured for Iraq Under-23s.

He missed the 3-3 draw with Uzbekistan through an injury but returned to set up a goal in a 2-0 win over Syria.

He came off then bench late on during the 3-3 draw with South Korea, while they play their final game today against Jordan.

At under-21 level, Ben Cabango, Jack Evans, Brandon Cooper, Liam Cullen and Joe Lewis – on loan at Torquay United – are in action tonight as Wales host Bosnia in Wrexham.
