Swansea City Under-18s Hull City Academy

15th July

Swansea City Under-18s ended their pre-season tour in Austria with a five-star performance against Hull City Academy that saw the scholars take a 5-1 victory.
Striker Liam Cullen fired the young Swans into the lead after just three minutes, seconds after his earlier effort hit the post.
Swansea controlled large spells of the first half but found themselves back on level terms on 35 minutes as a direct free-kick looped over Alex Lang.
Wingers Matt Roberts and Jordan Elliot came close for the Swans soon after only to be denied by the woodwork and the legs of Hull's keeper leaving the game all square at the break.

Coaches Eric Ramsay and Chris Llewellyn named a second XI after the re-start as the squad continued to gain match fitness ahead of the new season.
Winger Causso Darame capitalised on a pass from Keiran Evans to fire the Swans back into the lead on 65 minutes.
The pacey attacker doubled his tally five minutes later, heading home Jack Fox's cross at the far post.
Fox was provider again for the scholars' fourth goal on 76 minutes, as the wingers bursting run and cut-in from the left forced an own goal from Hull City.

The afternoon was rounded off five minutes from time as Darame's cross from the right found frontman Sean Hanbury to slot home from close range to secure an outstanding 5-1 win.
The Under-18s return to Wales on Saturday before facing Exeter City in a pre-season friendly at Landore on Tuesday before travelling away to play West Brom next weekend.
