Swansea City Under-21s Newcastle Premier League

27th September

Swansea City Under-21s look to make it two wins in a row in Premier League Division Two when they face Newcastle at Whitley Park on Monday afternoon (1pm).
Goals from Oliver McBurnie, Daniel James and Daniel Alfei helped the development squad to a 3-2 win over Wolves last Monday.
Meanwhile, Newcastle go into the Premier League Division Two match still looking for their first win of the season.
And coach Gary Richards has called for the team to pick-up where they left off last Monday.
"Cameron (Toshack) and I want to build on the good performance against Wolves," he said.
"We need to start getting some consistency in the league that is required at a category one level.
"We had a pleasing team performance that earned us a win at home last Monday where we dominated and looked a threat through large spells of the game.
"We need that to continue - if that performance level drops we make the job harder for ourselves.
"Newcastle will provide another tough test as they will be going all out to win their first match of the season.
"We roll into a two-week break after this game so we are aiming to continue our progress and finish this period of games on a high."
The U21s will be without captain Josh Sheehan, who completed a three-month loan move to League Two side Yeovil on Saturday.
But Richards believes the move will open more opportunities to develop young players in the squad.
"Josh (Sheehan) has gone back to Yeovil on loan which is a good move for him to get more league experience," he added.
"The change will only open up more opportunities for young players in the squad who are keen to prove themselves in category one."
