Swansea City under-21s Tyler Reid

24th January

Swans defender Tyler Reid has labelled tonight's Checkatrade Trophy quarter-final tie against Coventry City at the Liberty (7.30pm) as the biggest test of his career to date.
The young Swans are the last remaining under-21 side in the competition following their comeback win against Wolves' academy in the third round earlier this month.
The 19-year-old defender, who signed from Manchester United last summer, has started every game in the competition with the Swans beating the likes of Newport County and Plymouth Argyle along with the academy sides of Norwich and Wolves.
Despite having an impressive season that has seen the development side win ten consecutive games in all competitions, Reid knows tonight's encounter will be one of the toughest they have ever faced.
"Many of us starting tonight will not have had a bigger challenge in our careers," said the right-back.
"Playing against League One opposition and men's football will be demanding for us. I am looking forward to the challenge, but I can guarantee it will not be easy.

"We are thrilled to be the only under-21 side left in the competition. A quarter-final place means we are only two games from a Wembley final.
"Whoever we face at this stage will be a real test and we must be prepared for that. Coventry will be a very different test and we must start the game well if we want to succeed.
"Knock-out football is brutal at times. We will not get another chance and we'll get punished if we do not perform tonight. So we have to come out all guns blazing and attack from the first whistle.
"As a team we have to show that we are ready - opportunities like this don't come every day.
"We have to focus on ourselves and make sure we do our jobs. The hard work starts now."
