Swansea City Under-23 Gary Richards

19th September

Coach Gary Richards wants to see Swansea City Under-23s add some extra quality in the final third when they face Blackburn in Premier League Two at Landore tonight (7pm).
The development squad suffered their first league defeat of the season against Middlesbrough last Monday, but are still top of the Division Two table after three wins in August.
Despite a number of chances in front of goal, the young Swans fell to a 2-1 defeat at Victoria Park, but despite the loss Richards believes the squad has what it takes to bounce back tonight.
"The team were disappointed with the defeat last week," he said. "We played well and felt we deserved something from the game.
"We created good chances at Middlesbrough but needed a bit more quality and patience in the final third to find those extra goals.
"We must put the defeat behind us now. We know there are areas we need to improve.
"Our focus this week has been on maintaining our good performance levels.
"We have trained well this week and are looking forward to continuing our good run of form in front of our home fans."
Striker Oli McBurnie is part of the squad for tonight, while midfielders Daniel James and George Byers are available after recovering from injury.
