Swansea City Under-23 Premier League International Cup

28th July

Swansea City's development squad will take on some of Europe's top youth sides in this season's newly expanded Premier League International Cup.
The competition has grown for the 2016-17 season to accommodate 24 clubs - 12 domestic and 12 foreign - as part of wider changes to football's development set-up.
The new cup format will see 12 domestic academy sides face off against 12 of the best European academy sides with six groups of four teams.
The Swans' under-23s have been drawn in Group D alongside Chelsea, Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) and Feyenoord (Holland).

In what is a similar system to the rebranded Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy, all clubs are able to use a maximum of three overage players, and one overage goalkeeper should they choose.
Fixture dates for the ties will be announced on Friday, August 5.
