Swansea City Under-23s Adnan Maric

25th September

Adnan Maric insists there is more to come from Swansea City Under-23s in Premier League 2 this season.
The young Swans, who are top of the Division 2 table with four wins from five games, take on Newcastle United at Whitley Park on Monday (7pm).
And Maric, who helped the development squad to a 2-1 win over Blackburn last Monday, believes they can continue their good form in PL2 with the right focus.
"We have shown how strong we can be this season and I am confident there is more to come from us," said the 19-year-old midfielder.
"We have bounced back really well from our defeat against Middlesbrough with a solid win this week, while we are learning from our mistakes.
"The side is full of confidence and we are all on our toes in training and are hungry to get more results.
"You can see that everyone is growing mentally, which is good to see because we will need that to get a result against Newcastle.
"Mental toughness can give us an added edge this season - it is a big factor for any team. You can be as good physically and technically but the mentality side of things will give you that extra per cent to get a result.
"It will be a long trip to play a tough side in the division, so we will have to show how strong we are mentally on Monday."
