Swansea City Under-23s Cameron Toshack

31st October

Cameron Toshack has warned Swansea City Under-23s must be prepared for the challenge of four games in 12 days across four different competitions.
The young Swans face Stoke City in Premier League 2 at Landore on Monday (7pm) as the side look to stretch their unbeaten league run to three consecutive games.
The side then face Southampton in their group stage of the Premier League Cup four days later before matches against Plymouth Argyle (Checkatrade Trophy) and Dinamo Zagreb (International Cup) the following week.
Victory over Aston Villa in the league last Monday ensured the development squad are still two points clear at the top of the Division 2 table and Toshack believes the side should embrace their upcoming run of fixtures as a chance to improve and impress this season.
"We have started our campaign very well in all competitions and we don't want to see our performance levels drop," the Under-23s coach said.
"A stretch of four games across twelve days in four different tournaments will be a big test us and will ask questions of the entire squad.
"We will need to ensure we are focused, have concentration and discipline as each game will bring a fresh challenge.
"It was good to get a win away from home in our game against Villa last week. Our character and resilience of our team showed as Villa put us under a lot of pressure.
"We have been pleased with how the squad have applied themselves against some difficult opposition this season but myself and Gary (Richards) still want to see improvements in possession against Stoke on Monday."
