Swansea City Under-23s kicked off their pre-season trip to Scotland with a 2-1 win over Greenock Morton.
The Scottish Championship side, who are already five games into their season, fielded a strong starting XI with seven first team players involved at Cappielow Park including goalkeeper Derek Gaston.
The young Swans team, which included new signings Tyler Reid and George Byers, started brightly as striker Botti Biabi tested Gaston from inside the area.
Biabi came close again minutes later before chances fell to Alex Samuel, on his return to Cappielow Park and George Byers.
The home side tested Josh Vickers in the Swans goal before the Under-23s broke the deadlock a minute before half time when midfielder Byers fired home Alex Samuel's rebound.
The young Swans had chances to double their lead after the break, but Morton drew level midway through the second half when first team striker Jon Scullion found space outside the area to fire a low drive past Vickers.
But, Swansea continued to show their character and retook the lead six minutes later when Tom Holland fired past Gaston into the top corner.
Substitute Dan James left flank drive tested the keeper late on as the Swans pushed for a third, while Morton's Michael Tidser flashed a free-kick past the Swans post minutes before the final whistle.
