Swansea City Under-23s Jack Evans

23rd February

Midfielder Jack Evans wants Swansea City Under-23s to continue building momentum in the Premier League Cup as they face Bristol City at Landore this afternoon (2pm).
A 1-0 win over Southampton this month ensured the young Swans are targeting top spot in Group A as they push for a place in the last 16.
Evans, who has featured 12 times for the development side this season, believes they have what it takes to go far in the competition.
"A win would take us top of the group and leave us in a strong position to qualify for the last 16," said the 18-year-old academy product. "So there is plenty to play for in today's game and we need to make sure we keep up our momentum.
"I'm looking forward to getting back on the pitch. I have featured in three out of the four games in our Premier League Cup campaign so far.
"We had a good result against Southampton in our last group game and we want to continue pushing for top spot and go as far as we can in this tournament.
"Confidence at the minute is sky high. We are not complacent, but we believe we can win any of the competitions we are in if we play to the level we are capable of."
