Swansea City Under-23s Jordan Garrick

9th March

Winger Jordan Garrick praised a team performance as Swansea City Under-23s produced an impressive display to beat Bristol City 4-0 in the Premier League Cup at Ashton Gate on Thursday.
The 18-year-old netted his second of the season in stoppage time to add to a brace from Oli McBurnie and a second half strike from George Byers.
The result ensures the Swans finish second in Group A to progress, alongside Newcastle to the last-16 of the competition.
"It was a quality performance from the lads," he said. "We knew we needed to put in a better performance from the last game against City, so it was good to deliver that today.
"It was great to get my second goal of the season. I would like to build on that target if possible in the coming weeks.
"I am having a good run in the team and want to keep pushing myself to ensure I keep my place.
"It is fantastic for us to progress to the knock-out stage. We want to push on and try and get to the final and win it if we can.
"We don't mind who we face in the next round. Confidence in the team is high and I honestly think we can match any team we come up against when playing at our best."

The Under-23s will find out who they face in the last-16 of the Premier League Cup tomorrow (Friday, March 10 - midday). With games scheduled to be played between 17-20 March.
